August 15, 1969: The original Woodstock Festival officially kicks off.

People are already too stoned to notice.

August 16: It's Day Two of the festival and Santana, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, and The Who, to name just a few, all perform.

Sadly, no one will remember the performances (see above).

August 17: After a gathering of roughly half a million people, by the last night of the festival there are only about 150,000 fans left and then by the time Jimi Hendrix finishes his set early on the morning of the 18th, only 3 people remain.

Those three people are reportedly still waiting to use the porta-potty.

P.S. This is Joe Cocker's performance: :-D
