When Should Christmas Season Start?

Just a Bit Outside began tonight's show with a rousing debate: What should be the official start date of the Christmas season?

The holiday season is upon us, whether we like it or not. Christmas movies, music, and sales are in our face from as early as the first days of November. Does it bother you? Should the Christmas season not start as early as it seems to every year?

Personally, I'm on board as soon as the Thanksgiving meal is consumed. In fact, the ride home from my Thanksgiving with family this year was spent listening to Christmas music with my wife. I'm planning on purchasing my tree on Saturday morning and decorating this weekend.

As for shopping? Well, let's just say I'm not as ready for that as some people. Procrastination gives me the time to make sure I have the right gift idea for the special people on my list.
