Picking a baby name is important! When my wife and I were deciding, we knew we didn't want a boring name, but we also didn't want to go insane like some weirdo celeb baby named Celery or something. You want to walk the line between unique and weird, and it can be a tough line. We also didn't want to give our daughter a name that 9 other girls in her class would have.

Producer Steve is having a baby in September, almost to the same day as our Digital Guy, Brad. Maybe this list of the Most Popular Baby Names in NJ will inspire them (or give them ideas to avoid).

The list goes all the way up to the Top 100, and most of the names are fine; there are only a few where I want to punch the parents. I have a cousin named Jackson, but there is no reason to ever name your kid JAXSON. Most of the girl names are fine, including a few that were on our short list for Baby V.

Also, I'm not sure why, but I find it very interesting that 7 of the Top 10 Girl Names (including the entire top 6) all end with A.
