It was long overdue but Rush were finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday night, April 18th in Los Angeles.    Rush were inducted by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. Prior to their induction, Rush were paid homage by the ultimate quasi-tribute band, the Foo Fighters, who performed Rush's song '2112.'

The Foo Fighters were decked out in classic Rush outfits, including Grohl decked out as guitarist Alex Lifeson, complete with a blonde wig. Taylor Hawkins filled in as legendary drummer Neil Peart and producer Nick Raskulinecz, who has worked with both Rush and Foo Fighters in the past, did his best Geddy Lee impersonation.

During the final minute of the performance, the real Rush joined the tribute on stage.Rush performed 'Tom Sawyer' and 'Spirit of Radio' during the ceremony.
