VIctor Cruz will sign a deal to return to the Giants.

ESPN.com reports the receiver will sign a six-year, $46 million contract within the next 48 hours. According to USA Today, the contract would put make him one of the NFL's highest paid players.

Cruz has made168 catches for 2,628 yards and 19 touchdowns in over his three year career

Talks between Cruz and the Giants have gone on for months; following the 2012 season he didn't stopped talking to the media and did not attend a voluntary workout and team mini-camp. He signed a tender at the end of mini-camp

The University of Massachusetts graduate and Paterson native has played his entire professional career with the Giants.

This past season took an emotional turn for Cruz when the family of 6-year-old Newtown, Connecticut shooting victim Jack Pinto revealed that Cruz was his favorite player and was buried wearing a Cruz jersey. He visited the family several days after the shooting and gave them the cleats he wore in the first Giants game after the shootings. He wrote "Jack Pinto my hero" on one and "R.I.P. Jack Pinto" on the other.
