Known too many as "the Monmouth-Ocean game," the US Army All Shore Gridiron Classic matches recently graduated football players from Shore Conference High Schools and to some it’s the final game of last season or the first game of the new season.

Either way it’s one of the summer sports highlights at the shore and once again the game will be broadcast on the Shore Sports Network and air on 105.7 The Hawk as well as streamed live at 1057thehawk.com and shoresportsnetwork.com.  Matt Harmon, Kevin Williams and Ed Sarluca will handle the broadcast from Gernerd Field at Toms River North presented by Open MRI of Wall.

Honored as head coaches for the game are Colts Neck’s Greg LaCava (Monmouth) and John Wagner of Point Pleasant Beach (Ocean).  Wagner will mainly use coaches from his Garnett Gulls staff will LaCava will use several of his Cougar assistants in addition to head coaches Don Klein, Anthony Petruzzi and Derek Sininsky.

Among the players expected to suit up for the Monmouth County squad are quarterback Ajee Patterson of Neptune, wide receiver Anthony Firkser of Manalapan, Rumson linebacker Travis Clark and Long Branch linebacker Jocil Jackson.  Ocean County’s roster features running backs Danny Tighe of Point Beach, Abe Gonzalez of Southern and Lacey’s Kyle Spatz along with Lakewood’s brilliant all-around athlete Tyrice Beverette.

Monmouth County leads the overall series 19-15 with one game ending in a tie.

The game is presented by the Shore Football Coaches Foundation who at halftime will induct two new members into their Hall of Fame.  They are former Matawan coach Joe Martucci and current Southern Regional coach Chuck Donohue Sr.

Players were given tickets in advance which can also be purchased at Toms River North on game night for $10.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
