Union County man found with meth at Monmouth County traffic stop

Police in Ocean Township, Monmouth County arrest a Plainfield man Tuesday after finding methamphetamine as well as prescription legend drugs, hypodermic syringes and drug paraphernalia at a traffic stop on Asbury Avenue.

An equipment violation was the reason for the stop of 52-year old Anthony M. Jeffries who at 4:10 am on Tuesday couldn't produce a license to police and was driving while suspended.

In addition to the drug charges there were numerous warrants for his arrest.

Jeffries was brought to the Monmouth County jail pending his initial court appearance.
