They didn't maintain their lane but now a Mays Landing couple is in even bigger trouble after Lakehurst Police found the driver of a red 2014 Mitsubishi under the influence, then seized heroin, cocaine, marijuana and percocet pills in the car on June 10 around 12:36 am between Route 70 and Lilac Street.

Police say the Mitsubishi was also traveling a speed well below the posted limit.

The driver, Teddy Spann, 28, was displaying signs he was under the influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, that gave police probable cause to search the car.

A search turned up 9.7 grams of heroin, two baggies of cocaine, multiple bags of Marijuana packaged for resale and multiple Percocet pills.

Spann and Donah E. Sanford, 44 now face a laundry list of charges following their arrest.

He was processed and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of CDS (Percocet) and Being Under the Influence of CDS and was issued two motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Suspended and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.

Sanford was processed and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana.

Both were issued warrants for the charges and transported to the Ocean County Jail where they were lodged pending a mandatory court appearance with the Lakehurst Municipal Court.

The public is reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
