In the middle of the monster nor'easter a real tragedy strikes in Toms River early Thursday.

An 87-year old missing township woman with dementia was found in the snow about a mile from her Oak Grove Mobile Park home around 6 am this morning.

Calls came into headquarters around 4:30 am about a missing woman by relatives who said the victim wasn't home and had last been seen around midnight.

Toms River Police, East Dover Fire & EMS, and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department K-9 Division started a search early this morning during the storm.

Unfortunately they found the woman deceased.

The cause of death is under investigation, but police don't suspect any criminal activity.
