Toys R Us Is Coming Back To Jersey – Sort Of

Almost exactly a year ago, Toys R Us declared bankruptcy. Last fall there were glimmers of hope as the auction of the company's assets was canceled, leading many to believe our beloved toy story could make a comeback.

Now, it has been announced that Toys R Us will be re-branding as Tru Kids Inc, a part of Tru Kids Brands. The company will be run by former Toys R Us exec Richard Barry, and will maintain their headquarters right here in New Jersey. Seventy stores will be reopened, and former Toys R Us employees will be brought back.

It won't be quite the same, but at least a small part of our childhood is making a comeback in Jersey!
