Today is the birthday of Skynyrd's keyboard player Billy Powell. Here are my fave Skynyrd songs, what are yours?

There's a great story about how Powell ended up in the band. He had roadied for Skynyrd for about two years, when Ronnie Van Zant happened to hear him playing "Free Bird" on piano. Ronnie was stunned at his skill, yelled at him for "hiding" his talents for so long, and asked him right there to join the band.
