Tom Scholz at 67: Boston Hitting the Road This Summer

Info on the tour in a second, but first, happy birthday to Boston Mastermind Tom Scholz, born on March 10, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio.

It's been a long 11 years since Boston released an album, but the band finally brought us a new record, Life, Love & Hope, last December.

Boston will kick off the Heaven on Earth tour this June in support of that new album.

Fans of the early work of the band as well as those hungry for some divergence will be liking this new offering

‘Life, Love & Hope’ carries remnants of those early days in its sound — which is unmistakable from the moment the soaring harmonies kick in on ‘Heaven on Earth,’ the album’s opening track and lead single.

It provides a vintage moment on an album that otherwise contains quite a bit of exploration, both musically and sonically — something that we’ve come to expect from Scholz when he’s working in the backroom on new Boston music.
