Tom Petty released 'U Get Me High' and 'Red River' yesterday (June 10th), from his forthcoming album with the Heartbreakers,, 'Hypnotic Eye', due out July 29th.

“U Get Me High” is different than the single “You Get Me High”, which was on 1995's Playback box, an outtake from the sessions for 1991’s 'Into the Great Wide Open'.

Arriving hot on the heels of ‘American Dream Plan B,’ which the band leaked less than a week ago, ‘High’ serves up a solid helping of that classic Petty and the Heartbreakers sound, with a stomping beat, brilliantly simple chord structure, and a pair of stinging lead guitar solos, all woven around a typically cool, reedy Petty vocal.

Hear it and 'Red River' here.
