Today is World Vegetarian Day
Don’t worry, I’m not going to preach to you. It’s not my style.
But I have a tempting offer for you if you have even a slight interest or curiosity about trying out vegetarianism.
First let me say that every October 1st, many people all over the world celebrate a day established by the North American Vegetarian Society in 1977 and endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978, “To promote the joy, compassion and life-enhancing possibilities of vegetarianism.”
O.K. maybe that was a tad bit of disguised preaching.
But now if I haven’t alienated you yet, add to that description the possibility of making some money while trying it out.
You could win up to $1,000 for pledging to go meatless this month.
Even if you just ditch the habit of eating animals for a day, you could win $250.
You guys know by now, of course, that I support all efforts to reduce or eliminate man-made animal suffering even if it involves bribes, or maybe especially when it does.
Hey, this is Joisey, after all!
Here’s the link to more info.
P.S. All who took offense at the above suggestion that Joisey is spelled that way please accept my apologies.
