The NJ Surfing Hall of Fame Inducts First Class

This weekend, New Jersey's surfing history will be celebrated at the Saltwater Festival in Manasquan.

The newly formed NJ Surfing Hall Of Fame will honor 16 surfers who have already been enshrined in the East Coast Hall Of Fame.

A first class of 18 members will also be inducted into the NJ Surfing Hall Of Fame.

• Tickets are $25.
• Doors open at 5 p.m .
• An optional Pig Roast Luau from Max Devros will be available for dinner in addition to a cash bar in the Algonquin courtyard.
• Live music and a DJ will celebrate the best in surf music from the 50s to today.
• A "pop-up" museum will be in the theatre's gallery. Several New Jersey-based surf artists will also be on hand to show off their talents.
• The induction ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
• At the conclusion, guests will return to the courtyard for post-event mingling, featuring a dessert table from Chocolate Bar in Manasquan.
