This man is either highly gifted and spiritually advanced or insane, but you have to admit, he is fearless.

He's on a mission, and Kevin Richardson's bond with Africa's dominant predator is as amazing as it is moving.

He's devoted his life to understanding and protecting the King of the Jungle.

He cuddles them, tickles them, even sticks his head in their jaws and lives to speak another day on their behalf.

But despite Kevin's research, it's now feared that within just twenty years there will be no lions "born free", which is why he has created a sanctuary for these magnificent beasts.

The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary’s mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
