All this week, make sure you're listening to me between 10am and 3pm for a chance to win tickets to see Chrissie Hynde live in concert.

She rocks the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank on November 2nd (tickets are on sale now at countbasietheatre.org, the Basie box office, or by calling 732-842-9000).

Her fall tour also takes her to The Beacon Theater in NYC on November 5th as she supports her 'Stockholm' album, which she released this past June.

The new album (her debut solo album) features Neil Young on the song, "Down the Wrong Way" (check it out above).

Chrissie is not just a solid musician with a phenomenal contralto voice, she also works tirelessly for the rights of animals to be free from abuse, being a supporter of PETA and the animal rights group Viva!

She also appeared in anti-fur trade organization Respect for Animals' commercial 'Fur and Against' in 2002, alongside Jude Law, Paul McCartney and others.

I saw her in concert several years ago at a fundraiser in NYC for the animal rescue organization, Farm Sanctuary, where she performed "I'll Stand By You" in front of a back drop of images of suffering animals on factory farms, and there wasn't a dry eye in the entire venue.

She celebrated her 63rd birthday earlier this month, born on September 7, 1951 in Akron, Ohio.

Hey Chrissie, thanks for all the great music, past and present, and thank you for your work on behalf of the other animals we share the world with!
