Metallica’s The Black Album vs Ride the Lightning – The Metal Meltdown [POLL, VIDEO]

Every Saturday night we wage a fierce battle during the Slaughterhouse entitled the the Metal Meltdown. We take 2 bands, musicians or songs, pit them against each other and YOU decide the winner by casting your vote!This week, in celebration of the Orion Festival coming to Bader Field in Atlantic City, we are putting two classic Metallica albums against each other.

Metallica's will be rocking Atlantic City on June 23rd and 24th. The metal superstars are planning on performing two of their classic albums, one each night, in its entirety, with one special twist. They will be playing both albums back to front. Playing albums in their entirety has been a trend many bands have been doing recently but leave it to Metallica to put a cool spin on it and play the albums from the last song to the first. We'll make a fun twist this week for the Metal Meltdown as well, as we'll play a song form the winning album during the Slaughterhouse next week to open the 11pm hour.

So which album will it be? Will it be 1991's 'Metallica,' also known as the 'Black Album,' with hits like 'Enter Sandman' and 'Sad But True?'

Or will it be the 1984 classic, Ride the Lightning, with the classic Metallica cuts like, "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "Fade to Black" & "Fight Fire with Fire."

Two classic Metallica albums, only one can win the Metal Meltdown. Which album will win?
