Thrillist has once again come up with a fantastic list.  This time it's "The Best Thing to Eat in Every State."  Who is tasked with this job?  Because I would like to apply.

Every state does seem to have an identity in some sort with food.  I think of barbeque when I think of Tennessee or Texas.  Or salmon in Alaska.  Fried chicken in Georgia...

Thrillist says that the best thing to eat in our lovely state is...

New Jersey: Pork roll, egg, and cheese

Frank's Deli and Restaurant
Asbury Park
When Tony Bourdain stopped by Frank's, he went with an Italian sub, but anyone from Jersey can tell you that one of the things they miss most when they leave is pork roll, aka Taylor Ham, aka a cylindrical tube of not-quite-bologna that could challenge Folgers for the title of best thing about waking up. You can get them anywhere in the state, but our ex-pat source sang the praises of Frank's as the finest in the land, so very fine that she would have it driven across state lines. Hit it with a little SPK (salt/pepper/ketchup) and there's no better way to start a day in The Garden State.

Ok, I can get behind that...

It's a fun list - I've actually had the king crabs from Tracy's in Juneau, Alaska!  And I would like to try the Comfy Chicken Biscuit in Georgia... Yum.
