The 1964 Beatles' movie, "A Hard Day's Night" will be returning to the big screen.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the release of their first film, the Beatles will bring ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ back into movie theaters across the country.

It's poised to be re-released on the Fourth of July weekend, very close to the original U.K. premiere date of July 6, 1964.

I love this movie: it's playful, silly, there are some memorable quips, and of course it captures an extremely important moment in time when four cheeky lads from Liverpool were basking in the glory of Beatlemania.

I'm always reminded when I watch this movie of how the members of the band were not always the cute and adorable picture of mop-top innocence, but often offered edgy (for the time) sarcasm (except for Ringo, Ringo will always be adorable).

And never to be forgotten in my mind was the character of the grumpy, dirty old man, Paul's grandfather (portrayed by actor Wilfred Brambell), with a performance that was properly hysterically creepy.

The soundtrack, newly remastered, of course, will also be available on Blueray/DVD June 24th.
