The Friends of Island Beach State Park are holding the first Moonlight Hike of 2017 this Saturday (weather permitting).

The hike will begin at the park's Interpretive Center and continue on the trail through the maritime forest. It will feature spooky sea tales, a bonfire on the beach and s'mores. Supposedly, spirits have been felt at the old Coast Guard building.

The hike is free but you do need to pre-register.

The weather is supposed to be pretty cold on Saturday, so check back with the Friends of IBSP's Facebook for updates.
