David Bowie will soon release a compilation album, and with it is this new song, ’Tis a Pity She Was a Whore’.

In addition to being bait for the upcoming career-spanning ‘Nothing Has Changed’ set, the new song can also be heard as the B-side to Bowie’s latest single, ‘Sue (Or in a Season of Crime).’

Bowie talks about the song on his facebook page.

“The song acknowledges the shocking rawness of the First World War, and the title is a play on ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore,’ a John Ford Restoration play first performed in 1629 at the Cockpit Theatre in London.”

‘Nothing Has Changed’ will be released on Nov. 18 and will be available in both three- and two-disc versions.

The album includes classics ranging from ‘Space Oddity’ to cuts from last year’s comeback LP ‘The Next Day.’

A limited-edition 10-inch single of ‘Sue (Or in a Season of Crime)’ and ’Tis a Pity She Was a Whore’ will also be available as part of 2014 Record Store Day Black Friday on Nov. 28.
