Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to get a first hand look at the destruction that Superstorm Sandy had on Seaside Heights.
Exactly two weeks ago today, the landscape of the Jersey Shore changed forever. In Seaside Heights, the once flourishing real estate market is virtually a pile of debris.
Toms River officials were finally given the go ahead to allow limited access to the residents of Chadwick, Normandy and Ocean Beaches nearly two weeks after the super storm.
It has been over a week since Hurricane Sandy pounded the Jersey Shore, and thousands along the state's barrier island communities are still unable to return home to survey the damage done by the storm.

That's according to the Toms River Patch. For days, rumors have been swirling that hundreds of bodies are being pulled from the bay, and vacant homes.
They became overnight sensations. They forever changed the letters GTL, DTF and altered the meaning of the word grenade forever. Of course, we're talking about Jersey Shore, the popular MTV reality show that took the world by storm beginning in 2009.

The Seaside Music Festival is a free admission three-day music festival that takes place throughout bars, restaurants, and on the beach at Seaside Heights, NJ. The music festival is now in its 5th year and hosts performances by favorite local bands, out-of-towners, and touring acts for an eclectic weekend of live music. A variety of musical genres take over the town with great rock and alternative acts, singer-songwriters, DJs/electronic acts, pop-singers/groups, folk-artists, and many others. The best part of it all—ITS ALL FREE.
