Restore The Shore

On Saturday March 2nd, a benefit will be happening at the Beachcomber in Seaside Heights for the East Dover Firehouse on Fischer Boulevard in Toms River. The firehouse sustained about $50,000 worth of damage from the 4 feet of water that engulfed Fischer Blvd and the firehouse from Hurricane Sandy.

On Wednesday February 27th, Klee's Bar & Grill in Seaside Heights will be hosting a beer and wine sampling benefit for Hometown Heroes and Restore the Shore from 6p-10p.

Just a few weeks since the first pylon was driven into the sand in Seaside Heights to build the new boardwalk, some considerable progress has been made.

It was one more step closer to normalcy today on the Jersey Shore. The rebuilding of the Seaside Heights boardwalk is officially underway.

Wednesday February 6th marked 100 days after Hurricane Sandy destroyed most of the Jersey Shore. Andy Chase from 105.7 The Hawk, Mike Schwartz of "Hometown Heroes", and a film crew from "Restore the Shore" made a trip to Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, NJ to see the progress since the destruction of their amusement park from Hurricane Sandy

The Jersey Shore is at an important crossroad in the rebuilding process after Hurricane Sandy. Last Wednesday marked 100 days since the storm. Today marks 100 days until Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start to the summer tourism season at the Jersey Shore...

The official rebuilding of the seaside Heights boardwalk kicks off this Friday, February 15th!

Andy Chase was joined in the Hawk studio with Mike Schwartz of Hometown Heroes. Once again they were talking about the help STILL needed for families and residents of the Jersey Shore affected by Hurricane Sandy. Here is an inspiring video put together by Jimmy Ward. A high schooler from Long Beach Island. There is so much work to be done, but it is nice to see the progress that is getting made in L.B.I. Glad to see they are planning a big comeback for the summer of 2013.This video gives you goosebumps when you see the return of the businesses and attractions that are the foundation of L.B.I
