If you think of a candy that has a direct connection here to the Jersey Shore then you probably think of “salt water taffy”. It is an iconic Boardwalk treat that can be found in most Jersey Shore beach towns.

This is a cool story about two friends, who were volunteer firemen, who decided to team up and open a business and it sounds delicious. It’s the Firehouse Deli and Pizzeria in Bass River Township in New Gretna in Burlington County.

There is seriously nothing like grabbing a bottle of wine and enjoying a killer charcuterie board as you catch up with your friends.

In March, I posted a piece that was titled "The Future! The Next Big Jersey Shore Food Chain Is From Belmar". The feedback was tremendous and many people agreed that Hoagitos could easily be the next big food chain to come out of the Jersey Shore. With only one location in the Belmar Plaza, at the time my opinion might have been far-fetched but with the recent news of Hoagitos adding a new location, my random thought could become a reality.
