I have actually been craving BBQ the last few days and now I am writing an article about a brand new Monmouth County BBQ joint. My mouth is watering and I am in desperate need of baby back ribs... extra BBQ sauce, PLEASE!
I guess I'm the station's unofficial "foodie." I like to share all of the good news that I can, but unfortunately, there are bummers that I have to pass along.
As the summer sizzles and the Jersey Shore gets back together, the aromatic smells of barbecue drift from backyard to backyard. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Now, Ocean County residents will have a new source for delicious barbecue without having to stand outside in the scorching summer sun. Let me tell you about this place!
This Labor Day Weekend, head to Monmouth Park Racetrack if you're a fan of Beer and BBQ. Head there anyway if you just want to do some betting!
It's the Boar's Head BBQ & Craft Beer Festival Saturday-Monday from 11a-5p each day.
There will be more than forty craft beers on hand and over a dozen food vendors including:
Baby Blue Rolling Kitchen, Cold Stone Creamery, El Lechon de Negron, Enzo’s
Local Smoke BBQ already has locations in Neptune City, Cookstown, and Red Bank. But now they are open in Seaside Heights inside Jax Garage on Sumner Avenue.
I've had their BBQ before and it's incredible, so if you like ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, etc, Local Smoke BBQ is for you

This weekend is the 2nd Annual "Fast Tracks and Food Trucks Festival" at Great Adventure! Josh & Chris from Oink & Moo BBQ stopped by the Hawk's Nest, and Varacchi got to sample some delicious food!
