It seems everyone was going completely crazy over the beautiful supermoon last night and I was one of those people.

My friend Rich DeSisto loves taking photographs and couldn't resist getting some shots of the gorgeous moon over the ocean at the Jersey Shore (Ocean City).

When the full moon coincides with being closest to Earth, it's called a supermoon, and last night's moon appeared 14% bigger and 30% brighter than when it is at its farthest, according to Ben Burress, an astronomer with the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, California.
