Strong thunderstorms crossed New Jersey as a Flash Flood Warning is in effect for  Warren, Morris and parts of Sussex counties

Southern & central counties bore the brunt of the storms in the afternoon with heavy rain and some hail. Late afternoon & evening storms are affecting northern New Jersey and the Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 9:15 p.m.

A Flood Advisory is in effect for southern and central counties. until 6:45  p.m. as

The rain is also slowing traffic, closing roads and flooding a number of road around the state.

More storms are forming in Pennsylvania and are expected to affect parts of New Jersey later this afternoon.
