Squirrel “charged” with criminal mischief for breaking holiday lights

Police in Sea Girt have found out whose been breaking their holiday lights...It was a squirrel.

The squirrel was caught on camera using its nails to cut the lights and turn them off.

Maybe the squirrel found them to be too bright, thought they were food or was mad because it was invading its living arrangements.

Nevertheless Police say they've "charged" the squirrel with criminal mischief and released it on bail Saturday.

"We are happy that no human acted as a Grinch in this incident," Sea Girt Police said on Facebook.
