Governor Chris Christie is serving as the chairman and organizer of this year's Garden State Ball. Christie is a noted fan of Bruce, but Springsteen hasn't exactly reciprocated the love.

For this years Inauguration celebration, Christie booked the next best thing - a Springsteen tribute band.

The B Street Band (formerly known as Backstreets) will perform at the Garden State Inaugural Gala, Thursday, January 19th from 7:30 to 11:30pm at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, DC.

The band has received numerous complaints, but the group's founder Will Forte says

We're a non-political band. We're hired to do things and we don't look at what the repercussions are of playing an event at all. We don't even go into politics that deeply. The guys in the band are so easy-going, I don't even know if they have any politics."

The B Street Band performed at the Garden State Ball both times Barack Obama was elected.

Springsteen hasn't released any comment regarding his feelings towards his music being used at a celebration for a man he called a "flagrant, toxic narcissist" with "simply no sense of decency."
