Sports Authority In Brick Closing

Sports Authority has announced it will be closing all stores and liquidating.

Sports Authority filed for bankruptcy protection in March and had said that it hoped to cut costs and keep at least some of its stores open. But yesterday, company lawyer Robert Klyman said major debtors were instead pursuing a sale.

A liquidation auction is scheduled for May 16, the stores will begin to close after that.

If you have a gift cards from Sports Authority, you should use them immediately. Any pending returns or exchanges should be done quickly as well.
