Spectrum Road, A New Supergroup Featuring Cream’s Jack Bruce, Gears Up To Release Debut Album and Hit the Road
Jack Bruce knows a thing or two about supergroups. In fact, you could argue that the singer/bassist was a member of rock’s first supergroup, Cream, which also included guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.
Even though this is Spectrum Road’s first album, the idea for the band goes back to 2003, and its first performance was in 2008. In addition to Bruce, the lineup includes guitarist Vernon Reid (best known for his work with the late ’80s hard-rock unit Living Colour), keyboardist John Medeski (a member of the jazzy trio Medeski, Martin and Wood) and drummer Cindy Blackman-Santana (whose studio and stage credits include Lenny Kravitz and husband Carlos Santana‘s band).
