South Jersey Bridge Demolished

Beesley's Point Bridge, which crossed over Great Egg Harbor Bay parallel to the Garden State Parkway, has been demolished.

The bridge that connected Atlantic and Cape May counties was built in 1927, but has been closed since 2004 due to structural problems.

A fire in September further damaged what was left of the bridge, and crews finally blasted the last foundation section of Beesley's Point Bridge on November 18th.
