Shooting in Washington Navy Yard

There has been a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.

The police were searching Monday morning for armed individuals who fatally shot several people and wounded a number others, including one police officer, at a naval office building here not far from Capitol Hill and the White House.

Hundreds of police and naval officers have surrounded the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters, not far from the White House and Capitol Hill.
