Ed Jarrett (a sculptor) is doing a summer project in Seaside Park on the corner of North Ocean Ave. and N Street to raise money for USA Hometown Heroes, and he needs help.

"Boardwalk Journey" will feature 5,000 square feet of sand sculptures depicting the history of boardwalks in New Jersey, culminating with a projection into the future.

Hometown Heroes recently suffered a great loss from a devastating fire at their offices on Robbins Street in Toms River, so of course, the organization that does so much for so many in need now needs the help of the very community they serve.

And Ed needs a lot of help now to move a million pounds of sculpting sand into position so he can create his boardwalk sculptures in time for the summer crowds.

If you can help Ed move the sand (in small amounts of a few pounds at a time), please stop by his exhibit (see tent photo below) between 9 AM and 9 PM and lend a hand, but please give Ed a heads up before you come so he knows to be there to meet you. Send him an e-mail to tallestsandcastle@gmail.com.
