Ahmad Rahimi, the man that allegedly placed an explosive device in a garbage can that went off in Seaside Park before the start of the Semper Five Race last September 2016 has been found guilty on eight federal charges today for setting off explosive devices in New York City later the same day.

Rahimi still faces separate charges from the Seaside Park attack, but because of the New York City conviction alone, Rahimi faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
