Seaside Heights Packs Holiday Weekend with Events

Independence Day on a Thursday only gives Seaside Heights tourism boosters a clever way to extend the weekend. There's an event-filled calendar that starts now.

• Thursday: The borough's fireworks extravaganza, 9:30 PM, viewable from anywhere on the Boardwalk and on the beach north of Casino Pier.
• Friday: Extreme Camp, 8 AM to 4 PM, Hiering Avenue (Mondays through Fridays through August 30); Boot Camp, 8 AM to 8:45 AM, Kearney Avenue (Fridays through August 30).
• Saturday: Great American Seaside Celebration, 8 AM to 7 PM, Sheridan Avenue Beach.
• Sunday: Great American Seaside Celebration, 8:30 AM to 6 PM, Sheridan Avenue Beach.

Friday, July 5th-
