Search for Brick Township change machine thief widens

The unassuming-looking man in the photo accompanying this item is wanted for questioning by Brick Township police, regarding the October 19 theft of a change machine from the Chambers Bridge Apartments.

Police hope that the image will jog someone's memory and prompt a call to headquarters.

According to police, he entered the apartment complex at 175 Chambers Bridge Road at about 4 AM that day, accompanied by John Mandola, also known as John Mathers. Some of Mandola's relatives live in the complex, police said.

The suspect entered the laundry room, removed the change machine, left through the rear side of the complex,climbed into a dark sport-utility vehicle parked in the nearby Singin gas station, and sped off, police said.
