Van Halen are going to the Super Bowl! Sort of.

Variety reports that "some of the iconic elements" from the band's classic "Runnin' With the Devil" will be heard in Acura's new commercial for its 2017 NSX, which will air during the first quarter of the game. According to the article, the spot — which you can watch above — marks the first time this song has been licensed for an ad.

The New York Times notes that the new commercial returns Acura to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2012, when Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno appeared in a spot for the NSX. Leila Cesario, national advertising manager for the car maker, explained the song choice, saying that "Ultimately we knew that we wanted this to be a rock song. The Super Bowl is a big American platform. It needed a big American band that screams excitement."

Even though the Acura ad will be the commercial debut for "Runnin' With the Devil," this isn't the first time Van Halen's made an appearance during a Super Bowl commercial: Last year, the band's cover of "Pretty Woman" served as the soundtrack for a Nationwide Insurance spot starring Mindy Kaling.

Van Halen's Acura spot has some classic-rock company during the big game — as previously reported, Steven Tyler will also appear during a commercial break, courtesy of an ad he's filmed for Skittles. It's all part of what USA Today refers to as an attempt to restore some fun to Super Bowl ads after what they deemed "a relatively somber 2015."
