One of the busiest stretches of Route 70 in Lakewood will be off-limits to traffic tonight and tomorrow night.

As parrt of the Garden State Parkway widening project between exit 82 and 100 all westbound lanes will be closed Tuesday and the eastbound side Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 6 am as a steel beam is installed on the Parkway overpass according to the Patch of Manchester.

Drivers on Route 70 westbound be detoured onto Cedar Bridge Avenue and then New Hampshire Avenue to get back to Route 70. On Wednesday, when the eastbound lanes are closed, the detour will be reversed.

When the project is complete exit 88 will be a "complete" intersection with access to both directions of the Parkway

Route 166 in Toms River remains closed overnights under the Parkway overpass for the next two weeks as part of the same of the same $70 million Parkway widening project which should be complete by the end of 2014.
