It's time for the coach to put his money where his mouth is. No, Rex Ryan didn't make another outlandish guarantee this week. Instead, he was hit with a $75,000 fine Monday for cursing at a fan at MetLife Stadium eight days ago.

The incident, which occurred walking into the tunnel at halftime of the Jets game against New England, brought national headlines due to the popularity of the teams and the prime time viewing spot on NBC.

Ryan was notified by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. He seemed to accept his penalty despite the excessive nature of the fine. "The commissioner has a tough enough job," Ryan said. "I'm an NFL lifer and I know I represent the NFL and represent the Jets, so I'm accountable for my actions and I will not appeal it."

This, of course, wasn't the first time Ryan's pockets got lighter after offending with his words. In February 2010, he was fined $50,000 by the team for making inappropriate gestures toward a fan at a MMA event in Miami.

Ryan and the Jets will try to get their manners and season back on track Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
