Revis Island might sound like a nice place to vacation for some. Not so much if you're an NFL receiver.

Darrelle Revis brought his Island back to New York in March when he resigned with the Jets after leaving for two seasons to play in Tampa Bay and New England. The veteran cornerback received his highest 'NFL Top 100' ranking since 2012 this year, coming in at No. 17 on NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2015.

“His game changes every game because he’s studying the receiver he’s going to face,” Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry told New York Jets writer Eric Allen. “His ability to adapt to that is one of the reasons why he’s one of the best in the league.”

Entering his ninth NFL season after being drafted No. 14 overall by the Jets in 2007 he has a total of 23 career interceptions and an NFL high 123 PD (passes defensed). He led the Patriots with 14 PD last season.

“I had a great learning experience last year with Bill (Belichick), and he helped me in a lot of ways," Revis said this spring.

When he underwent reconstructive knee surgery in 2012 he vowed to get back to where he was before.

"I see the game a different way, but at the same time I think just the growth, me growing as a player and growing as a unit has helped me tremendously," Revis said this spring.  "I think now I am a different type of player, a better player than I was last time.”

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan told New York Jets writer Eric Allen that Revis was worth the investment the team made. “I think he’s playing at a very high level and we thought he could potentially be able to play at that really high level for a number of years going forward."

Revis has made the Top 100 each of the past five years. This year he joins the list with teammates Sheldon Richardson (55), Brandon Marshall (57) and Muhammad Wilkerson (74).
