For a while now, Seaside Heights has needed a "face-lift", and community leaders are working on turning the town into a "traditional" beach town rather than the MTV lifestyle that has been portrayed on television over the years

Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz says, “We need to go back to the basics”, "We want to try to be what we really are – a beach community with flip flops, tee shirts and shorts, ice cream, pizza and rides.”

Plans are to focus the next phase of development in Seaside Heights  on the businesses on the Boulevard and to expand new business as well
