Earlier today, Prince Harry surveyed the damage that Sandy left behind at the Jersey shore, escorted by Governor Chris Christie.

The Prince toured the storm-ravaged Mantoloking with the Governor this morning and then it was on to Seaside Heights to view the destruction, including getting a look at the  iconic Jet Star Roller Coaster before she gets removed from her watery home in the Atlantic.

The Governor tweeted earlier, "greeting Prince Harry @ the Jersey Shore the best way I know how - with his own Royal Fleece" as he handed him a dark blue fleece (the pullover garment Christie wore 24/7 during the Hurricane Sandy crisis--o.k. NOT the exact same one). :-D

According to nj.com, the unlikely duo played games of chance on the boardwalk and handed the prizes over to children who were watching the fun.

They also shook hands with construction workers preparing the shore for the summer season.

The prince said he was impressed to see the state's recovery, "everyone getting together and making things right."
