The world is saddened today with the shocking passing of Prince. He died this morning at the age of 57 at the Paisley Park Compound in Minnesota. The Sheriff's Department says Prince was found unconscious in an elevator but were unable to revive him.

He was definitely one of the greatest musician/singer/songwriters of our time.

I was lucky enough to see him in the late 90's at PNC Bank Arts Center. One of the greatest concerts I have ever seen. Prince's energy was like nothing I have ever seen before, and throughout the night he poured his heart out, played every single instrument on that stage.

It was a concert I will never forget.

I found this footage from the archives today of a Prince concert from the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ going back to 1982.  It wasn't long after this show that Prince's career "blew up".

Nine months later, in October of 1982, Prince released "1999", and the music world was never the same again.

This is still a developing story. Keep checking back for updates on the passing of Prince
