A graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School, Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher Turton is part of TOPGUN, the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center.

Stationed in the desert of Nevada, Turton is an aviation maintenance administrationman, working with the Strike Fighter Wing Pacific Detachment stationed aboard Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada. A Navy aviation maintenance administrationman is responsible for maintaining all logs and records for all flight hours and maintenance hours.

Turton plays a crucial role in the overall mission that flies over 5,000 adversary sorties per year in support of the Navy and Marine Corp Active and Reserve fleet and replacement squadrons, carrier air wings and marine aircraft groups including the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National guard and Canadian Forces.

Turton is the first military member in his family. He graduated from Point Pleasant Beach HS in 2002, and joined the Navy in 2008. Turton took part in relief efforts for both the tsunami in Japan and the typhoon in the Philippines.
