The United States Coast Guard cutter Tamaroa, famous for being part of rescue missions during the "Perfect Storm" of 1991, will be sunk as part of an artificial reef.

The site will be one of the offshore reefs jointly shared by New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. No date has been given for the sinking. The rumor had been that it would coincide with the anniversary of the storm, but that October 28th-November 2nd date has passed.
