Paul McCartney has released his single, 'Hope for the Future' and debuts the new video.

See him enter the world of ‘Destiny,’ the hit video game for which it was composed and recorded.

As reported at ultimateclassicrock.com, a few weeks after the song first surfaced online, McCartney has announced today as the official release date for the ‘Hope for the Future’ single, which adds four remixes to the original version and he has also debuted the song’s video, which turns him into a singing hologram and plunges him into ‘Destiny.’

“When you’re writing something like ‘Hope for the Future’, which is custom made, it is like doing a portrait for someone,” explained McCartney in a press release.

“You have to use your imagination and work out what they need, what they’re going to want and then what you want to give them.....in the game, you’re a guardian of the last city on Earth, so that suggested to me the ‘hope for the future’ idea and I went from there."

This is the first time Sir Paul has ever written specifically for a game.
