Committing a motor vehicle violation was why an Asbury Park pair were pulled over on Route 66 Friday April 27 in Ocean Township around 2:44 pm but being in possession of drugs was why they were placed in handcuffs.

Both men inside were found with weed but the passenger also allegedly had 130-bags of heroin and cocaine.

The driver, Perry Curtis, 64, of Asbury Park was arrested for marijuana possession, processed at headquarters and then released on a summons pending his initial court appearance on charges of Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

The passenger, Sean Hailman 42, of Asbury Park, was also arrested for marijuana possession as well as heroin and cocaine.

Hailman was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Narcotics and Failure to Turn over Narcotics to Law Enforcement.

He was processed and transported to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
