Yankees Captain & Shortstop Derek Jeter is calling it quits after the 2014 season, his 20th year in the league, he announced today on his Facebook Page.

He talks about his ankle injury which limited him to playing only 17 games last season

Derek posted:

"I want to start by saying thank you". He also writes "Now is the time for the next chapter"

He also thanks the NY fans
